LEVINSON, Richard and William Link
Roller Coaster (released as Rollercoaster) [Original Screenplay].
Studio: Universal Pictures
Script Dated: July 20, 1976
Edition: Original Movie Script. First edition.
An original screenplay written by Richard Levinson and William Link and dated July 20, 1976.

Released by Universal Pictures in 1977, "Rollercoaster" was written by Richard Levinson and William Link, directed by James Goldstone, produced by Jennings Lang, and starred George Segal, Richard Widmark, Timothy Bottoms, Henry Fonda, Susan Strasberg and a very young Helen Hunt in her feature film debut.

The script is bound with metal pins in green heavy stock paper covers with the film's title (noted as two words rather than one) and production number [00414] noted on the front. The covers are typical Universal Pictures studio issue from this period, with company logo also printed at the base of the front cover.

Pages numbered [1]-140 are pale green and clean. The title page also notes the film's title as two words, rather than combined single word the film was released under. The screenplay exhibits only minor wear from light handling and use.

Following in the grand tradition of the other classic disaster films of the 1970's, including "Airport" (1970), "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972), "The Towering Inferno" (1974), and "Earthquake (1974)," Rollercoaster" was the third film to be presented in "Sensurround," which caused audience seats to vibrate during thrill scenes ("Midway" and "Earthquake" were the other two). Another great piece of 1970's film history and memorabilia from the industry's golden age of the "disaster film.".
